Mechanism of Injury

These fractures usually arise from direct violence such as crushing injuries.

Clinical Features

The patient complains of pain over the dorsum aspect of the forefoot. Tenderness and swelling are also present.

Radiographs confirm the diagnosis: AP, lateral and oblique.
